지난 2017년의 위 이탈리아어 도서 한국어 번역 세계 최초로 발행 허가에 이어, 주님께서 2천년전 1세기의 제자ㆍ성경기자 들에게 "모든 피조물 만민에게 복음을 선포전파 하라." 하시던 명령을, 18세기의 제자와 성경기자ㆍ수도자의 한 사람인 이탈리아인 마리아 세실리아 바이즈 수녀님에 이어 세월이 갈수록, 전세계적으로 예수님 말씀에 따른 올바른 신앙심이 쇠퇴되어가는 21세기인 지금에도, 제자와 기자ㆍ평신도의 한 사람ㆍ전세계적으로 남북으로 분단된 마지막 국가의 한국인인 저에게도, 삼위일체 하느님과 복음을 계속 만민에게 선포 전파 하도록 하시기 위하여, 세계적으로 그 우수성이 인정되어 가고 있는 한국어와 21세기 현재 가장 많은 나라에서 통용되는 영어로 [21세기 예수님 도서 선교전교 ]하고자 하는 깊은 뜻 하나 있는 저에게, 위 VITA INTERNA DI GESU CRISTO 도서를 영어로의 번역 출판을 하게 하라는 사명주심과 수도원의 영어 번역 허가에 진심으로 감사와 순명하겠다는 응답과 기도를 드립니다.
주님은 1세기 때 이미, "네 이웃을 사랑하라." 하셨습니다. 자녀를 사랑하지 않고 부모(시부모ㆍ장인 장모)와 배우자를 사랑하지 않는 사람이 누구를 사랑한단 말입니까? 그대의 이웃은 도대체 누구입니까?
바라옵기는, 위 도서의 영어로의 번역에 성 베드로 수도원(또는 로마 교황청)의 적극 협조ㆍ참여와 지도해 주심입니다. 이미 이 도서로 한국어로는 번역이 되었으니, 이를 영어로 번역하는 것도 일리가 있는 하나의 방법은 되겠지만, 이는 최선의 방법 아닌 차선의 방법일 것입니다. 최선의 방법은, 영어로 번역되면 21세기 이후의 온 세계인인 만민이 [예수님 내면의 삶] 영어로, 한국어로, 자기 나라 말로 읽으며 묵상할 위 도서라, 제가 아무리 생각해봐도 영어로의 번역은, 예수님과 영어에 아주 조예가 깊은 이탈리아인이 영어로 가장 잘 번역해야 한다 생각합니다. 또는 이탈리아어에 아주 조예가 깊은 영미인이 영어로 잘 번역해야 하는 일이라 생각합니다. 불행히도 제게 성 베드로 수녀원을 방문하는 기회가 주어지지 않거나 기도의 힘이 미약해서 수녀원에, 이탈리아어( 영어)를 모르므로 한국어로 메일을 보내 청원하거나 기도해도 성 베드로 수녀원에서 영어번역인을 추천(소개)해 주시지 않으시면, 다른 좋은 방법을 모르는 저로서는, 부득이 위 한국어 번역본으로라도 영어로 번역해야하는 차선을 택하는 방법 밖엔 없겠지만---. 그래서 오는 11월11일부터 23일까지의 이탈리아어 순례에 아내와 함께 꼭 참여하며, 직접 수녀원을 방문하여 간절한 청원을 드리고 싶은 것입니다. 75세 부부의 청원과 기도를 들어주십시오. 아멘!

되돌아 보니, 영어로 번역 허가 날짜인 2022년 8월15일은, 성모 마리아님의 승천 대축일이자 동방의 등불인 대한민국의 제77주년 8.15 광복절로 아주 뜻 깊은 날이었습니다. 제가 다시 감사를 드리는 오늘 9월10일은, 설날(구정) 명절과 함께 대한민국인들이 아주 오래전부터 조상님과 부모님에게 감사드리는, 2대 명절의 하나인 한가위 추석(음력 8월15일 ) 연휴 명절이자 아내 로사리아의 75살 생일이기도 합니다. 시공을 초월한 억겁의 세월과 장소의 인연 닿아 49년전에 조그마한 나라 대한민국 서울 명동 대성당에서 세 분의 신부님을 주례 사제로 모시고 로사리아와 결혼식을 올리고, 주님께서 결합하여 주신 남편과 아내란 가장 소중한 인연으로 서로 사랑하며, 의지하며, 보완하며, 함께 살아 왔습니다. 여러분은 이 지구상에 울면서 태어난 후, 험하고 힘든 한 세상 살아가는 목적과 보람, 그리고 마지막 희망이 무엇입니까?
5년전에, 구입하기 힘든 위 VITA INTERNA DI GESU CRISTO 원서를 이탈리아에서 구입하면서, 저자 마리아 세실리아 바이즈 수녀님이 원장 수녀님으로 살아 계시던 성 베드로 수도원을 방문해서, 한국어와 영어로 번역 출판 계획을 말씀드리고 싶었지만, 위 도서는 이탈리아 성지 순례를 담당하던, 경기도 소재 아씨시의 성 프란치스코 전교 수녀회의 권숙연 루치아 수녀님이 정말 정말 수고 많이하시어, 오래되어서 구입하기 어려운 책 3권을 구입해 주었으나, 이탈리아에 순례 여행을 순례단과 함께 하는 일정 중에서, 저의 부부가 단 하루라도 별도로 시간을 내서 성 베드로 수도원을 함께 방문해 줄 현지 안내인(이탈리아어와 한국어로 통역해 줄 현지 가이드)을 구하기 힘들다 하시며, 수녀님이 인솔하는 [수도자와 함께 하는 이탈리아 성지순례]를 통한 성 베드로 수도원 방문을, 수녀님은 들어 줄 수 없으니 다른 방법을 택하라 하셔서, 무산되고 말았습니다. 무산됨에 안타까운 한숨이 절로 나왔습니다. 좋은 뜻이 있어도 결코 쉬운 일이 아님을 알았습니다. 그후 저 스스로도 삶에 짓눌러 시간 내기가 쉽지 않았었고, 전세계로 확산되는 코로나 19로 인해 이탈리아 성지 순례 자체가 중단되었습니다.
다행히 최근에 재개된 가톨릭신문사의 <가톨릭신문 투어>에서, 이번 11월11일부터 23일까지 전체 순례 기간 중에, 4년전부터 알게 되었고 계속 카카오톡과 전화 등으로 연락을 취해 온 정현애 엘리사벳 차장님의, 저의 부부가 이번 이 순례기간 중에 이탈리아 순례 전 일정을 순례 하면서, 일정 중 하루를 별도로 성 베드로 수도원을 방문하는데 어려움이 없도록, 성 베드로 수도원을 하루 동행할 현지 안내인을 찾아보겠다고 하며, 이 순례 여행을 주최하는 <작은 형제회 성지 지도부> 신부님께도 저의 내외가 이탈리아 성지 순례에 참여하는 것을 말씀드리겠다고 하여, 천우신조의 OK 라는 좋은 결과를 기다리고 있는 중입니다. 이번 전체 순례기간 제가 결혼을 한 달인 11월이기도 하여, 5년을 소망하던 이탈리아 성 베드로수도원의 11월의 하루 방문이, 49년 결혼기념 이탈리아 여행까지 되었으면 하는 마지막 열망과 학수고대함이 있습니다.
저의 직장의 명예 퇴직과 아내의 명예 퇴직기념으로 14년~16년전에 이탈리아 전역을 2회 성지 순례한 적이 있지만, 한국어판 [예수님 내면의 삶] 도서도 성 베드로 수녀원 도서관에 저의 부부가 1권 더 직접 증정하고, 수녀원에서의 유능한 영어 번역인의 추천(선정)과 로마 교황청의 프란치스코 교황님께(교황청 도서관에)와 지난 8월 27일에 추기경으로 서임되신 유흥식 교황청 성직자부 장관님께 증정하는 일을, 저의 부부를 대신해 증정해 주실 것을 성 베드로 수녀원에 부탁드리기 위함입니다. 여러 분도 함께 관심가지시고, 저의 부부의 뜻이 이루어지도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. 최소출발 20인 이상이라 합니다. 이 이탈리아 성지순례에 동참하시는 형제자매님들 계시면 더욱 좋겠습니다. 주님과 성모 마리아님의 크신 은총이, 이 지구상에 같은 시대에 태어나셔서 함께 호흡하며 주님을 열심히, 올바로 믿으며 살아가시려는 모든 형제자매님들과 저의 부부에게 항상 함께 하시길 기도드리겠습니다.

I hope that the above book will be translated into English with the active cooperation, participation and guidance of St. Peter's Monastery (or the Vatican) . Since this book has already been translated into Korean, translating it into English would be a sensible way to do it, but it's probably the best way, not the best way. The best way is to read and meditate on [Jesus' Inner Life] in English, Korean, and their own language , if translated into English. Unfortunately , I am not given the opportunity to visit St. Peter's Convent, or the power of prayer is weak. I do not know Italian (English ), so I send an e-mail to the convent, so even if I send a petition or pray in Korean, St. Peter's Convent recommends an English translator (introduction) If you don't do it, as I do n't know any other good methods, I have no choice but to choose the next best way to translate even the Korean translation above into English ---. I made a pilgrimage to the Holy Land twice throughout Italy 14 to 16 years ago to commemorate my honorary retirement from my job and my wife's honorary retirement.
